I recently tried the MomMed S10 Pro wearable breast pump and was really impressed by its huge capacity, long battery life, and efficient output. All at a budget friendly price!

In this honest MomMed S10 Pro review, I will discuss the standout features of the MomMed S10 that distinguish it from other breast pumps, including its sister pump the Mommed S21.

Adjustable Suction Levels and Modes: The S10 Pro comes with 9 adjustable suction levels and 3 modes (Stimulation/Expression/Auto), so you can customize your pumping experience according to your comfort and milk flow needs.

Powerful Suction: 280mmHg suction strength.

Battery Life: The S10’s battery life is around 180 minutes or 6-8 pumping sessions.

All-in-One Design: The S10 Pro is a compact all in one design that eliminates the need for tubing.

Light Weight: Each pump is only 230g which is very light weight, adding to the pump’s portability.

Accessories: When it comes to accessories the S10 Pro MomMed pump has them in spades! It comes with breast milk storage bags, nipple sizing chart, spare parts, pump storage bags, bra adjustment buckles, cleaning brushes, and more!

Downside of MomMed S10

The MomMed S10 Pro, while offering various benefits, does have some disadvantages that I think you should consider:

LED Light Stays On: The light emitted from the LED screen is relatively low, however the light stays on for your entire pumping session. This can make the pump less discrete depending on your setting.

27mm Standard Flange/Breast Shield: Whilst the 27mm standard flange/breast shield is great for those with larger nipples, I feel for a majority of pumping mothers this will be much too large requiring you to use a flange insert. Whilst I have no issues with flange inserts, it does mean extra cleaning and maintenance. I do like that MomMed include a very handy nipple sizing chart and additional 24mm flange insert sizes in their kit, but if you have smaller nipples you will need to purchase additional flange inserts to get started.

Lack of Advanced Features: The S10 Pro may lack certain advanced features that other more expensive breast pumps offer, such as Bluetooth connectivity, mobile app integration, or more sophisticated pumping modes like vibration.

Let’s take a deeper dive into the MomMed S10 Pro pros and cons!

Performance and Efficiency

Powerful Suction Force

The MomMed S10 Pro boasts an impressive suction strength of up to 280mmHg, which you can easily adjust to your preference. This adaptability allows you to tailor the pumping intensity to your comfort level and the specific needs of your milk flow.

This heightened suction capacity in the S10 Pro breast pump effectively encourages milk expression, leading to maximum milk yield and shorter pumping sessions.

Modes

The S10 Pro offers three distinct modes, each designed to serve a specific purpose in the pumping process, ensuring flexibility to meet a range of needs.

Stimulation Mode: This mode mirrors the rapid and shallow sucking pattern of a newborn, initiating your letdown and milk flow.

Expression Mode: Engineered for maximum efficiency, this mode excels at extracting milk effectively, making it ideal for achieving a more substantial milk volume during each pumping session.

Auto Mode: The Auto Mode cleverly combines the advantages of both stimulation and expression modes, adapting to your individual pumping rhythm. It initiates with a gentle stimulation phase and smoothly transitions into an efficient expression phase. This automated sequence eliminates the need to manually switch modes, providing a hands-free and productive pumping experience.

Adjustable Suction Levels

The MomMed S10 Pro breast pump offers the convenience of nine adjustable suction levels, granting you the freedom to customize the suction strength to match your comfort and the demands of your milk flow.

I think this level of control is crucial because the maximum pump setting may not always be the most effective for promoting optimal milk production. Being comfortable is just as important for milk to flow.

Comfort

Based on my own personal experience, I can tell you that comfort plays a pivotal role when it comes to pumping. Nobody wants to spend 20 minutes pumping in pain!

Comfortable Suction Levels

As mentioned earlier, the inclusion of nine distinct suction levels provides you with the versatility to fine-tune your settings, ensuring you find the ideal level for maximum comfort and milk flow.

I recommend starting on a lower suction level and working your way up till you find a comfortable suction level that gives you a good output.

Customizable Fit

The S10 Pro comes with a default 27mm silicone breast shield as well as 24mm flange inserts.

Whilst I think this is great for those with large nipple sizes, you may find that the 27mm and even 24mm flange size is too large for you.

If that is the case, you will need to purchase additional flange inserts separately which is an additional cost to consider.

I do love that MomMed does provide a nipple size chart so you can easily find the most suitable flange size for you.

Quiet Operation

While not completely silent, the MomMed S10 Pro breast pump is one of the quietest budget breast pumps that I have used. It operates at a very quiet 45dB.

It’s worth noting that in a quiet office setting you may hear the pump working, but with a little bit of background noise the pump is quiet enough to ensure a discreet and inconspicuous pumping experience. I think the noise levels are more than suitable both home and public use.

User-Friendliness

The MomMed S10 Pro breast pump is designed with user-friendliness in mind, offering several features that make it easy and convenient to use.

LED Display

The S10 Pro comes with a user-friendly LED display, offering clear and intuitive information for easy operation. This display simplifies navigation through various pumping modes and facilitates the adjustment of suction levels to suit your preferences.

However, a drawback I’ve noticed is that the LED screen light remains on throughout the entire pumping session. While the emitted light is minimal, it can detract from the pump’s discreetness. Furthermore, the added light may be less desirable during late-night pumping sessions.

Customizable Pumping Settings

As previously discussed, the S10 Pro breast pump offers customizable pumping settings to suit your specific needs.

With 9 adjustable suction levels and 3 pumping modes (Stimulation/Expression/Auto), you can tailor the pumping experience to your comfort and milk flow requirements.

I do love that there are only 4 buttons on the pump, so it is very user-friendly in terms of operation.

Timer

I really love that the MomMed S10 Pro comes with a built-in timer. I think this is a big plus in enabling your to easily track your pumping sessions and something that you don’t often see on a wearable breast pump in this price range.

Accessories

In terms of accessories, the MomMed S10 Pro really stands out, especially considering its affordable price.

The package includes a fantastic bra adjustment buckle feature, which I believe you’ll appreciate as much as I do. This ingenious buckle lets you effortlessly customize the pump’s size to match your existing bras, eliminating the necessity of buying dedicated pumping bras.

You also get disposable milk storage bags, nipple ruler, two charging cables, cleaning brushes, replacement diaphragms and duckbill valves, 24mm flange inserts, storage bags for the pumps, and an informative breastfeeding manual.

I even had 5 of the drug free MomMed cooling patches included which I thought was a nice surprise!

Container Capacity

One of the standout features for me of the MomMed S10 Pro wearable pump, is the huge container capacity of 8 oz. This is perfect for over suppliers or moms who prefer to pump less frequently throughout the day.

Pouring Made Easy

I love that the user-friendliness extends on the S10 Pro to its easy-to-pour spout on the collection container. This thoughtful feature ensures that you can pump without any worries about spilling a single drop of precious breast milk.

Transparent Design

I like with the MomMed S10 Pro that they have reduced the size of the pump motor which makes it easier to track your milk expression. Coupled with the completely clear design of the collection cups, you can discreetly check your pumping session, even whilst in your bra.

Assembly

One think that surprised me is how straightforward the all-in-one design is. Ther are only 5 parts to the pump, so disassembling and reassembling it extremely easy.

I do think it is important to note there is no clip to hold the pump motor in place, it is held in by silicone diaphragms, so this may become loose over time.  

That said, as with any breast pump you will need to replace parts on your pump regularly (every few months) to maintain hygiene and suction efficiency. I think this will minimize any issues with the loosing of the pump motor. There are also 2 spare silicone diaphragms that come in your pack.

Portability And Battery Life

It’s lightweight and features a compact, all-in-one design. Additionally, its battery operated which means you can pump without the constraints of being near an electrical outlet, providing the freedom for discreet and comfortable pumping wherever you are.

To enhance on-the-go convenience, the pump also includes two silky soft, velvet protection bags, allowing you to easily slip them into your handbag.

Battery Life

With a usage time of 180 minutes on a single charge, the pump can support multiple pumping sessions (6-8 sessions) before needing to be recharged.

This is definitely a standout feature for the S10 pro and makes it competitive even against premium wearable breast pumps such as Elvie and Willow.

USB-C Type Charging

The S10 Pro pump achieves a full charge in a reasonable 2.5 hours.

What I love is that it utilizes a USB charging port. This feature greatly simplifies on-the-go pumping, allowing you to charge your pump in your car or from your work computer.

The use of a common USB charging method ensures that finding compatible cables and adapters is effortless, further enhancing the pump’s portability and convenience.

Auto Shut-Off Feature

The MomMed S10 includes a 30-minute auto shut-off feature.

This safety feature serves a dual purpose by conserving battery life and providing peace of mind. It ensures that the pump will automatically power down after 30 minutes, mitigating any potential concerns associated with prolonged use.

When searching for a breast pump, it’s ideal to select one with a closed system design. This feature guarantees that breast milk remains isolated from the tubing and motor during pumping.

A closed system design plays a pivotal role in preserving the pump’s hygiene and cleanliness as it effectively prevents contamination or the accumulation of bacteria in the internal components. Furthermore, it aids in preventing milk leakages.

After each use, you will need to clean all the parts of your MomMed S10 Pro that have come into contact with breast milk.
