Who Is Graco? 

Graco was founded in 1942 in Philadelphia by Russel Gray and Robert Cone (see where the name comes from?). Today, Graco manufactures more than 20 different types of products including car seats, bassinets, strollers, swings, and play yards. 

Graco is a fan favorite in the parenting world for their reliable products and affordable prices. We have personally used many Graco products and we think that they are one of the best manufacturers of cribs and car seats on the market today. 

Graco Classic Connect Vs Click Connect

We hate to pit two excellent strollers against one another, but we know that parents want the best for their babies. So, we have found the differences between these two models so that you can accurately determine the best product for your family. 

We have compared both of these strollers to see which would come out on top. Here is what we have found. 

Compatibility

First and foremost, it is important to mention the compatibility of these two strollers. The Click Connect and the Classic Connect are two strollers from different ranges. This means that while there are many other Graco car seats compatible with these stroller systems, the Classic Connect will not fit with the Click Connect. The same can be said about the opposite, too. 

What does this mean for you? Well, once you’ve decided whether you want to opt for the Classic Connect or the Click Connect, you’re probably better off sticking with the range that you have chosen. So, it’s important to choose wisely! 

Graco Classic Connect strollers are compatible with all Graco Classic Connect infant car seats.

Graco Click Connect strollers are compatible with all Graco Click Connect Infant Car Seats and Graco SnugRide SnugLock Infant Car Seats.

Connectors

The biggest difference when it comes to the Click Connect and the Classic Connect strollers is the connectors that come with. 

The Classic Connect needs to have a shell of a car seat connected to the stroller using a snapping system. There is then another strap to securely fasten the car seat in place. 

On the other hand, the Click Connect uses a clicking system to secure the car seat onto the frame. There are no other adjustments needed thanks to the smart positioning of the mechanism. 

The Click Connect is easier to attach a seat onto the stroller frame thanks to the click system. All you need to do is slot the seat into either side of the stroller and position it until you hear the click. The Classic Connect will take you slightly longer to achieve the best attachment. 

However, the Classic Connect does have a lower and wider path for installing the seat onto the frame, making the whole task easier for you. 

In our opinion, though, the Click Connect makes it much easier to attach the seat onto the frame than the Classic Connect. 

Design And Ease Of Use

One of the many struggles of being a parent is trying to fold the stroller and fit it in the trunk while having a squirming baby on your hip. Luckily, stroller manufacturers are beginning to notice this and introduce new mechanisms to fold strollers more easily. 

Both the Classic Connect and the Click Connect use the same technology for using their strollers. They both have an easy-to-use folding system. Once these strollers are folded, you can also wheel them like a suitcase thanks to their amazing design. 

This is especially good for when you have to carry your baby as well as moving the stroller. Both of these strollers from Graco make life with a baby outside of the house much easier. 

Maximum Capacity

Babies and toddlers grow so quickly that it can feel like you’re having to replace their equipment all the time. This can be further aggravated when the equipment’s capacity is low and therefore means your baby will grow out of it quicker. 

When you’re looking to save money on a stroller and car seat, you are going to have to check the maximum capacity beforehand. Some strollers only last until your baby is two years old, while another might last until they are six years old! 

Both the Graco Classic Connect and the Click Connect are excellent when it comes to their maximum capacity as they are designed to grow with your child. They can both be used from infancy to toddlerhood, so you won’t have to purchase a new stroller anytime soon. 

The seat can recline to up to 170-degrees, making it good for young babies who want to lie down for the majority of the time. As your baby grows, you can sit them up more and more. 

The seat can also be reversed so that they can either face you or outwards. This is a benefit that you can use as your child gets older. While they are young they can face you for reassurance, and when they are older they can start to look out at the world. 

Finally, the leg rest is also beneficial for your growing baby. The leg rest stops in three positions to support little legs as they grow. The harness can also be three or five points so you can choose which is best for the size of your baby. 

Both the Classic Connect and the Click Connect boast these qualities, so they’re both as good as one another for growing babies. 

These two strollers both fit infants as small as 4 pounds up to 50 pounds. This means that you will be able to use this stroller up until your child is six years old – if they aren’t running circles around you by then!

Additional Features

There are some additional features that set these two strollers apart from the rest on the market. Firstly, the canopies on both of these strollers are amazing. They will keep your child protected from the sun but are also retractable for when you don’t need them. 

The Click Connect stroller has a slightly larger canopy than the Classic Connect, so bear this in mind if you think that the size of canopy is important in your decision. 

Both strollers also have a removable snack tray to keep your toddlers happy while you’re out and about. These both have two cup holders deep enough to securely hold small cups of water or juice. What’s more is that it also comes with covered storage compartments for your valuables. 

The storage basket underneath the seat is also large enough to hold an impressive amount of stuff. You’ll be able to fit coats, bags, toys, diapers, and anything else under here! 

Which Is Better: Classic Connect Or Click Connect? 

As you can see, there are clear reasons why lots of parents choose Graco strollers and car seats. They grow with your baby and are very helpful for parents too. 

We found that the Classic Connect and the Click Connect are very similar to one another in terms of use, additional features, and maximum capacity. 

Actually, the only real difference in these two strollers is how you connect the seat to the frame. The Classic Connect is a little more cumbersome with straps needing to be connected to the frame. 

We think, along with many other parents, that the Click Connect is better thanks to the ease of connection. Plus, the canopy is slightly larger and therefore offers more protection for your little one from the sun. 

With this being said, both of these strollers are very similar and both have proven to be fan favorites amongst parents. No matter which of these two models you choose, your baby will be in good hands. 

Final Thoughts on Graco Click Connect vs Classic Connect

If you want a safe, comfortable, and easy-to-use stroller, we highly recommend the Graco Classic Connect or the Click Connect. It is suitable for children from birth to 6 years old. Both strollers are great for families who travel often because they fold easily and compactly. 

They are also extremely durable and long lasting. We love the fact that they offer extra safety features such as adjustable leg rests and three or five point harnesses. 

If we had to choose just one, it would have to be the Click Connect due to the easier connection to the frame and the larger canopy. However, both of these strollers are very similar and excellent for parents looking for the best stroller on the market.
