The Wheels
We are going to start with the wheels, since they are what made the Bugaboo Buffalo stand out as a terrain stroller. The Bugaboo Fox 3, by comparison, has 8 inch wheels at the front. The lost wheel-age results in the Bugaboo Fox weighing in at a total of 21.8 lbs. That makes it the most lightweight full size stroller on the market.

Folding Mechanism
The two stroller are very similar in terms of how they fold down for storage and transportation. They both employ a standing fold.
The system involves compressing the telescopic handlebars and then lifting a trigger to collapse the frame. Both work smoothly, especially after you have had a couple of practices at it.
However, the designers at Bugaboo made a crucial design alteration with the new Bugaboo Fox 3. It has a lock latch that holds the folded frame securely closed.
This means that the stroller can stand up on its own whilst folded, whereas the Bugaboo Buffalo had to be laid down on the ground.
This small difference will save your back a lot of bending and stretching, and means that you don’t have to worry about the thing falling over in folded form.
To unfold the Bugaboo Fox, the designers have created a simple mechanism that can be twisted, allowing you to unfold the stroller in one single motion. The Buffalo requires a lift and flick motion, which is prone to getting caught. The new mechanism is simpler and hassle-free.
The Frame
The Bugaboo Fox has been mounted on an entirely new frame to the Buffalo. Although the two look incredibly similar and behave very much alike, there are some crucial differences.
Both stroller come with bassinet baskets that can be inserted into the frame to create a baby bassinet, the way that the bassinet attaches is much simpler on the Bugaboo Fox than the Velcro system used on the Buffalo.

The Bugaboo Fox has an upper weight limit of 48 pounds. Now, although this is less than the Buffalo, it is still a really strong capacity that is suitable for most toddlers and youngsters.
Customization
Another of the major differences between the Buffalo and the Bugaboo Fox is the level of customization that is available to you in terms of fabric print and design.
On the Buffalo, the seat and frame came in standard black, and you could customize the sun canopy in fun fabric. However, with the Bugaboo Fox, you can customize the canopy, the handlebar grip, the hub caps, and even the seat liner.
