Best yet, it is non-WIFI and hack proof so you can rest assured that your privacy won’t be breached.

Momcozy 1080P Video Baby Monitor Review

Let’s take a deeper dive into the Momcozy baby monitor pros and cons!

Video

Resolution

For me, one of the standout features of this baby monitor is the video quality. The camera is a 1080p HD camera which provides a very clear image of your child.

I think the quality of the image is one of the most important things to consider when choosing a baby monitor. Poor image quality will make it difficult to check how your little one is doing, which is not only frustrating, but it can also be stressful for new parents.

And when it comes to baby monitors the higher the resolution the better.

That’s why I am impressed with the high clarity and 1080p camera resolution as it is at the top end of baby monitor resolutions.

Night Vision

The Momcozy 1080P video monitor comes with infrared night vision. This feature is great for allowing continuous monitoring throughout the night.

I feel it is important to note that some users aren’t overly impressed with quality of the night vision stating that the picture can be grainy. From my experience, the images were much clearer than I expected based, especially when I turned up the brightness all the way.

Field of View

Each camera can provide a 360-degree field of view which provides a panoramic view of the room, so I never miss a single spot.

I love that you can also zoom in up to 4x to take a closer look at your baby when needed.

Number of Cameras

With the Momcozy 1080p HD video monitor you can connect up to 4 cameras at once. I feel this is really a great option as you can set up a camera in all the key areas.

Depending on the kit you purchase you will receive either one or two cameras in your kit. Additional cameras will need to be purchased separately.

Unfortunately, the cameras need to be plugged into a power source, and cannot be operated wirelessly, which I do feel makes the portability of the monitor a little restricted.

That said, with the option to connect up to 4 cameras, I feel like you still have a ton of flexibility.

I really love that they also include the camera mounts in with your pack!

Monitor

Size

I love that the monitor comes with a 5” large display. The large display allows you to see more detail than you would with a smaller monitor.

What’s best though, is it is quite thin and still small enough to fit into your pocket, so you don’t feel like you are carrying around a brick as with some other baby monitors.

It also has a stand on it so you don’t have to hold it constantly.

Spilt Screen

The monitor has its own split screen and loop playback functions, which enables it to automatically loop between two views. This feature allows you to fully cover the environment and enjoy a movie-like viewing experience.

I think the split screen functionality is especially handy when you want to monitor multiple rooms simultaneously. You just need to add an additional camera, and the monitor will automatically switch between the views. With this feature, you can keep an eye on your baby in the nursery and your toddler in the playroom at the same time.

Controls

The monitor is controlled by easy to press buttons to the right of the screen.

It is very simple to use and allows you to easily control your cameras all from the one device including zooming in, tilting your camera, two-way communication, adjusting the external volume, and even playing lullabies.

Instant Alerts

The VOX function is a voice activated alert that automatically lights up the screen and alerts you when your baby is fussy or crying, allowing you to respond promptly.

This feature also assists in preserving your battery life as you don’t need to have the sound on the entire time the monitor is working.

Two Way Communication

Another feature I love with the monitor is that you have the ability to for two-way communication through the monitor.

Sometimes, all a child needs is to hear their parent’s voice to settle.

With the Momcozy monitor, if you are in another room you can talk to your baby or even play them lullabies to try get them to self-settle.

Range

Transmission range is highly important, as it really determines the usability of the device.

It determines how far you can walk across the house before the parent unit loses connection to the baby monitor.

The Momcozy video monitor has a range of 960ft which is quite large and generally suitable for most homes.

momcozy baby monitor chargers

Battery

Generally speaking, a good battery life is roughly 8 hours and above for a baby monitor.

The Momcozy Video Baby Monitor comes with a large its 5000mAh rechargeable battery that can last up to 22 hours depending on your settings.

When fully charged:
Display on + voice on = 11.5hrs
Display off + voice on = 22hrs

A standout feature for me is that the baby monitor and cameras all come with a USB charging cable, so you are not just limited to a USA charging port. They also included the USB/USA power plugs. Just be mindful that their is a specific USB charger for the camera and a separate one for the screen. They have been labelled.

Set Up

When it comes to setting up the Momcozy baby monitor, it couldn’t be any easier.

All you have to do was plug in the camera and turn on the monitor, and they connected instantly without any pairing required. I think this is a huge win, as no one wants to spend hours reading through a manual just to get the monitor up and running.

Security

Lastly, and possibly most importantly, is the security of your baby monitor.

A secure connection ensures that you are the only person receiving the audio and video transmission from the baby monitor.

What I love about the Momcozy monitor is that it is non-wifi. This means that someone can’t remotely hack into your device and access your transmission.

This does also mean that you will not be able to remotely access your monitor either. You physically need to have the monitor in hand. This may be a consideration for some parents, especially those looking to be able to access your baby monitor from the workplace.
