Comfort

We were really impressed with the comfort level of both the Huggies Little Snugglers and the Pampers Swaddlers.

They were touchably soft, and we didn’t feel any concern having these diapers close to sensitive skin. 

Secure Fit

Both diapers felt safe and secure. The Little Snugglers use double grip strips to ensure a fit that’s tight enough to stay in place, but won’t cause discomfort.

We also liked the fasteners on the Pampers Swaddlers, which were easy to use and kept the diaper where it needed to be.

We’ll cover the rest of the fit in more detail below, because we felt there were some key areas of difference.

Absorbency

Both diapers were absorbent and reduced leaks. Huggies Little Snugglers use a GentleAbsorb Diaper Liner, which has tiny cushions to pull moisture away from the skin.

Sizes

There are some size differences with Little Snugglers and Pampers Swaddlers, but we were impressed with the large range of both brands.

Little Snugglers had more options for smaller babies, including a preemie size and newborn diapers. However, the Little Snugglers only went up to a size 6. 

Pampers Swaddlers, on the other hand, didn’t have a preemie size, but are sold in size 7. This means parents can keep on using the Swaddlers for longer.

Overall, the sizes offered by Little Snugglers and Swaddlers were comparable. 

Umbilical Cord Cutout

For newborns, both the Little Snugglers and the Pampers Swaddlers come with an umbilical cord cutout.

Fit

Huggies Little Snugglers have some issues with fit, due to the narrow crotch area. The narrow crotch is intended to secure the fit and reduce leaks, but for some parents, it actually makes the problem worse.

Little Snugglers seem to fit babies with chubby legs, but parents have found that there are gaps when the Huggies diapers are used on longer and skinnier babies.

The soft and stretchy sides of the Pampers Swaddlers helps the diaper to stay in place for a larger number of babies.

Although the Pampers Swaddlers seem to fit more babies, the Huggies Little Snugglers are preferred by some parents.
