UPPAbaby Vs Bugaboo

Let’s start by looking at what these two iconic baby stroller brands have to offer. What makes UPPAbaby and Bugaboo so popular?

All About UPPAbaby

Founded in 2006, UPPAbaby was created by parents, for parents. The aim of the brand was to create high quality baby items that were practical, easy to use, and made with quality.

UPPAbaby also recognized that parents want to look and feel good, so they decided to craft their strollers with style.

UPPAbaby strollers are known for their practicality. They’re designed to be intuitive, so parents can focus on the important things (the baby) and not worry about the details (how to figure out a complicated stroller fold).

And while UPPAbaby products are crafted with the greatest care and attention to detail, they don’t come with the enormous price tag you might expect (although, they are still pretty pricey).

Pros

  • Designed for convenience, UPPAbaby strollers are lightweight and easy to navigate.
  • Created with luxury fabrics for a stylish finish.
  • Decent range of designs, including running strollers and double strollers.
  • Options from birth, and for older children.
  • Even the full-size UPPAbaby strollers are easy to fold.

Cons

  • The double stroller range is lacking.
  • Add-on accessories for the strollers are expensive.
Our Top Pick
UPPAbaby Vista V2 Stroller

Having versatility when it comes to a stroller is paramount and the UPPAbaby Vista V2 Stroller has versatility in spades!

It can be used as a single, double, or even a triple stroller with the addition of a PiggyBack ride adaptation.

Seats can be forward facing or outward facing and you can use a bassinet or a sit up / reclining seat allowing it to adapt with your growing family.

It is also compatible with MESA Infant Car seat.

And best of all, the new spring-action all-wheel suspension and slightly softer tires make it easy to maneuver.

All About Bugaboo

For many parents, Bugaboo strollers are associated with the ultimate in baby luxury. Stylish and impeccably made, these strollers are expensive.

However, this is a brand where you can see the quality. Every inch of a Bugaboo stroller is finished to a high standard, and parents who invest in a Bugaboo can expect to use that stroller for years.

Bugaboo is also a brand known for their innovation. They’re constantly adapting and updating the range, bringing out designs that improve on previous models, and add features you never even knew you needed.

Bugaboo is a brand that prioritizes attention to detail, and that means an impressive performance for both babies and parents.

Pros

  • The massive stroller range has options for all kinds of families.
  • Bugaboo strollers are incredibly durable, and should last for many years.
  • Finished with high quality fabrics, Bugaboo strollers look good, and feel good to use.
  • Multiple accessories available to improve your stroller, and extend its usage.
  • Options from birth, and for older children.

Cons

  • The biggest con of the Bugaboo strollers is the price — these are expensive choices.
  • Some of the strollers lack the easy fold you might expect from a premium brand.

Similarities And Differences Between UPPAbaby And Bugaboo

In this section, we’re going to take a look at what sets each stroller brand apart. We’ll cover the things they have in common, plus the areas where each brand shines.

We’re also going to directly compare some strollers, so you have an idea of the range.

Luxury Materials

A defining feature of both the UPPAbaby and the Bugaboo are the materials these strollers are crafted from. Both brands create their strollers using only the best parts and materials, to ensure your stroller works better for longer.

Both stroller brands have also recognized the importance of style.

UPPAbaby and Bugaboo make attractive strollers, designs that you’ll enjoy showing off at the playground.

While style might not be the most important consideration, it makes a nice change from clunky stroller designs that are as difficult to look at as they are to use!

Lightweight

Across the range of both UPPAbaby and Bugaboo, there are some obvious differences in weight.

However, what both brands do well is remove the unnecessary weight. These strollers are built to be slim, with smart materials removing bulk while keeping durability.

For City Living

For the most part, the strollers of Bugaboo and UPPAbaby are designed for use around the city. They prioritize weight and portability.

These strollers can glide around shopping centers and busy streets without causing problems.

However, if you live in the country (or spend a lot of time away from the city) your stroller might not keep up.

Although both brands have decent suspension across all strollers, even the all-terrain designs lack the rugged wheels needed to tackle truly tricky surfaces.

Range

Whether you go for UPPAbaby or Bugaboo, one thing is for certain — you won’t be stuck for choice. Both these brands offer a good range of strollers, designed to meet the needs of all kinds of parents.

No two families are the same, and UPPAbaby and Bugaboo want your stroller to work for your lifestyle.

Both brands also have options beyond the stroller, including car seats. But if we have to pick a brand with the best range, the winner is Bugaboo.

They offer real diversity in their strollers, and plenty of accessories for added convenience.

UPPAbaby and Bugaboo are both consistently expanding their ranges, and providing new options for parents.

Both brands also do a good job of listening to their audience: when parents find a problem, they try to sort the issue for the next release.

Price

We’ve spoken a lot about the quality you can expect from both UPPAbaby and Bugaboo, but that quality comes with a downside.

These are expensive, luxury strollers, and they’re unlikely to appeal to parents on a tight budget.

Overall, UPPAbaby is the more affordable option. But keep in mind that this is still a luxury brand.

The price tag might be large, but you do get a lot for the money. Both stroller brands are built to be durable, and can potentially last for multiple children.

UPPAbaby Cruz Vs Bugaboo Lynx

For many parents, there’s no beating the full-size stroller. This is a stroller that’s meant to accompany you essentially wherever you want to go, and support your little one throughout the early years.

The UPPAbaby Cruz is a full-size stroller with a sleek and streamlined build. It’s designed for easy use, with a quick fold system, one-handed recline, and no thread harness.

An adjustable leather handlebar adds comfort for parents, while the extendable UPF 50+ canopy keeps your little one happy. But this lightweight stroller struggles outside the city.

Like the Cruz, the Bugaboo Lynx is a full-sized stroller with a slim build for daily use.

The Lynx boasts multi-terrain wheels, making it best for parents who like to travel, while the smooth steering is ideal for easy turns in busy cities. However, the Lynx lacks the easy fold and recline of the Cruz.

UPPAbaby Minu Vs Bugaboo Bee

Lightweight strollers are excellent for parents who like to get around, and hate struggling with a clunky stroller.

The Minu is another stroller from UPPAbaby designed for convenience, this time in a lightweight package.

It’s super smooth to fold and steer, and despite the smaller build, there’s ample room for growing children.

The Bee is an icon of the Bugaboo range, a lightweight stroller known for its excellent handling.

The one-handed fold is incredibly compact, while every inch of fabric is designed to provide ultimate comfort. The only issue is the underseat storage — it’s a little awkward to access.

UPPAbaby G-Link Vs Bugaboo Donkey

Finding a stroller for two children can be difficult, but Bugaboo has really come through with the Donkey.

This is a side by side stroller with ample versatility, so you can make the stroller work for your family. It is a little bulky, which is to be expected from a twin stroller, but lighter and with a quicker fold than similar designs.

UPPAbaby don’t have quite the same excellence when it comes to double strollers. The G-Link is a lightweight stroller with twin options, and it’s pretty good for older children.

However, it doesn’t have options for babies. The Vista by UPPAbaby can also be adapted for two, but it isn’t ideal for children of the same age.
