What Is A Bob Stroller?

Established in 1994, by Roger Malinowski and Philip Novotny, Bob Gear has become a leading brand for lightweight, high-quality jogging and off-road strollers.

Their strollers come with advanced suspension systems, lockable front wheels, and adjustable handle bars to provide you with an ultra-smooth ride over any terrain, on or off road!

And best of all they fold up easily and compactly for easy storage and transport.

However, there are several other models available including the BOB Gear Rambler Jogging Stroller, BOB Gear Revolution Flex 3.0 Duallie Double Jogging Stroller, and the BOB Gear Alterrain Pro Jogging Stroller.

How To Fold Bob Stroller

Whilst there are many different models in Bob Gear range, we are going to look at the two main set ups of both a single Bob stroller and a Double Bob stroller.

Please keep in mind that these are general instructions and should be a good starting point for most models, however your Bob stroller may differ. If your model does not follow these same guidelines then we recommend looking up the manufacturers instructions for your specific model number.

How to Collapse Bob Stroller – Single

Step 1 – With your foot, set the parking brake.

You will want to ensure that the brake is on before folding your stroller to ensure that it does not roll away from you. If your stroller is moving it could make folding it a lot more difficult.

Step 2 – Empty your stroller

You’ll want to empty your stroller and the stroller basket before trying to close your stroller. Firstly, if you try to collapse your stroller with things in it, they could get damaged. Secondly, it could prevent your stroller from being able to collapse fully and lock into place.

Step 3 – Put your hands on either side of the handlebar

You will want to ensure that you have a good grip on your stroller’s handlebar so that you can apply the pressure needed to collapse it. If needed raise the adjustable handle of your stroller to ensure a better grip. 

Step 4 – Look for the red tabs

When you located the red tabs, push towards the middle with both hands. Whilst pressing in, fold the seat forward.

Step 5 – Locate the red handle

The red handle should now be sticking out at the rear of your stroller. Once located tug the red handle to flatten the jogging stroller.

Step 6 – Connect the red buckle lock

Once fully folded, connect red buckle to lock and secure stroller in it’s folded position. This will prevent the stroller from accidently opening whilst in transit or storage.

Step 7 – Remove wheels – Optional

If required, you can also remove both front and rear wheels to make your BOB stroller even more compact.

How to Collapse Bob Double Stroller

Step 1 – With your foot, set the parking brake.

You will want to ensure that the brake is on before folding your double stroller to ensure that it does not roll away from you. If your double stroller is moving it could make folding it a lot more difficult.

Step 2 – Empty your stroller

You’ll want to empty your double stroller and the stroller basket before trying to close your stroller. Firstly, if you try to collapse your stroller with things in it, they could get damaged. Secondly, it could prevent your stroller from being able to collapse fully and lock into place.

Step 3 – Find the seat retention strap and unlock it

Step 4 – Put your hands on either side of the handlebar

You will want to ensure that you have a good grip on your stroller’s handlebar so that you can apply the pressure needed to collapse it. If needed raise the adjustable handle of your stroller to ensure a better grip. 

Step 5 – Look for the levers on the handlebar

When you located the levers, push towards the middle with both hands. Whilst pressing in, fold the seat forward.

Step 6 – Locate the red handle

The red handle should now be sticking out at the rear of your stroller. Once located tug the red handle to flatten the jogging stroller.

Step 7 – Connect the red buckle lock

Once fully folded, use the wrist strap buckle that you usually use for jogging to secure the collapsed stroller in place. This will prevent the stroller from accidently opening whilst in transit or storage.

Step 8 – Remove wheels – Optional

If required, you can also remove both front and rear wheels to make your BOB stroller even more compact.
