All About Bugaboo Donkey 5

The Bugaboo Donkey is easily Bugaboo’s largest stroller, yet it is still surprisingly narrow for a side-by-side double stroller.

It can be configured in three different ways, including the Donkey 5 Mono, Duo and Twin. The mono is the smallest version, with only one chair, and a storage basket for holding onto your valuables and shopping.

However, you didn’t start looking at the Donkey for a one child stroller, which is where the Duo and twin models come in.

With the Duo you can select either one bassinet, and one seat, or two of both, so you can transport two children of similar ages.

Meanwhile, the twin comes with either two bassinets or two stroller seats for accommodating, as the name suggests, a pair of beautiful twins. 

Whichever model you pick, you are guaranteed to get a luxurious extra large stroller packed with all of Bugaboo’s classic features.

The two chairs are side by side, your children can interact with each other while they travel in style.

Whether you choose the regular seat or the bassinet configuration, both come with an extendable canopy to protect your child from the elements. 

Despite its large size, the Donkey five is surprisingly maneuverable and can fit through most modern doorways.

All About Uppababy Vista V2 

Unlike the Donkey 5, Uppababy’s Vista V2 has the two seats configured with one on top of the other rather than side-by-side.

This makes it significantly narrower than the Donkey 5, which makes it much more maneuverable as well.

However, while the Donkey 5 could be configured with any combination of bassinet or stroller chair, this unit is less versatile. 

There is only the option to attach two stroller chairs, or one bassinet, which means this stroller will only be suitable for siblings of similar ages and not great for twins.

However, Uppababy makes up for the lack of versatility with a large selection of awesome extras.

For one, you get a bassinet included with the stroller, instead of having to buy one separately as you would from Bugaboo. 

You also get a selection of extendable canopies, including a waterproof one and another for hot weather.

The hot weather canopy offers a UPF of 50+ and has a breeze window with a mosquito net, so your baby can look around at the world around them.

There are four canopies in total, with two being for the bassinet and the other two being for the stroller chair. 

With shock absorbers on all of the wheels, this stroller offers a very comfortable ride for both passengers.

Thanks to its modular design, you can remove or add the chairs as necessary and even attach a car seat to the top of the frame. The seats can also recline to give your toddler the chance to nap while you push them around.

The main differences between these two strollers is the fact that the Vista V2 uses a tandem arrangement, while the Donkey 5 is a twin stroller.

Having the two seats arranged with one on top of the other makes the Vista much narrower and easy to maneuver through tight spaces.

It also allows the whole stroller to fold up, which makes it easier to store, and possible to take on public transport. 

However, tandem strollers are quite bottom heavy, meaning you will need to have the smaller child in the bottom seat.
