Even when folded, the Lynx is pretty bulky. It comes with two folding options: one-piece self-standing, a smaller two-piece fold. But the two-piece fold is still quite big.

Ease Of Fold

Gravity does most of the work when it comes to the Butterfly fold. When you unfold, a quick pull and shake will have the Butterfly ready to go. And when it’s time to pack away, simply push the stroller in, and let gravity take control.

Folding and unfolding the Lynx, on the other hand, requires some work. The two button system is surprisingly fiddly, and you might need a few goes to master the movement. Even with practice, the fold never feels intuitive.

Sun Canopy

The Lynx and Butterfly both come with an extendable sun canopy.

The Lynx has the better sun canopy, but the Butterfly isn’t far behind. Both canopies are made to Bugaboo’s high standard.

Adjustable Handlebar

The Lynx handlebar is incredibly comfortable to use, and the adjustability only adds to the easy maneuvering of the stroller.

The Bugaboo Butterfly comes with an adjustable backrest and leg rest, so you can get your little one comfortably angled.

The adjustments are easy to make, and while there perhaps aren’t the range of angles you’ll find with larger strollers, we’re still happy with what’s available.

The Bugaboo Lynx also has several recline options, but the big issue here is that the recline function is really difficult to use. You have to hold two buttons, and nudge the seat. It isn’t easy to get right.

The Bugaboo Butterfly is ideal for those that spend a lot of time traveling, but need an easy-to-use stroller for weekdays at home. The wheels will struggle on rougher surfaces, but the ride remains smooth throughout.

The Bugaboo Lynx, however, is better for those who live life between the city and the country.
